A Forbes report cites IDC analyst Jitesh Ubrani as saying the laptop was initially meant to be announced in October. While that didn’t happen, Ubrani says that signs of it being in production are there. The release date for the laptop is also still uncertain. The same is reportedly echoed by sources who are familiar with Apple’s supply chain.

In terms of specs, what we’ve heard previously likely still applies. The upcoming 16-inch MacBook Pro will likely come with Intel’s 9th generation H-series CPUs. Apple will also likely ditch its Butterfly switches in favour of scissor switches. It will also likely come with an LED display rather than OLED, with its 3072 x 1920 resolution. The bezel around the display is also believed to be slimmer. All that said, there’s still no indication of when the 16-inch MacBook Pro will actually be announced. It seems unlikely at this point, but Apple could technically still make it for fall release. After all, the season ends in late December. (Source: Forbes)
