Among what is new inside the Nitro 5 2020 is the inclusion of customizable 4-zone RGB keyboard that also comes with 1.6.mm travel distance. Acer has also apparently improved the thermal solution with the gaming laptop which now has 25% improvements over the 2019 model. Also equipped with 15.6-inch Full HD 144Hz IPS display, the Nitro 5 2020 also comes with the new 10th Gen Intel Core H-series processors. Malaysian variants also come standard with 8GB DDR4-2933 RAM and 512GB PCIe NVMe solid state drive. Alongside an additional M.2 slot and support for up to 32GB of RAM, Acer has also included a Hard Drive Upgrade Kit in case users want to personally add an extra HDD into their Nitro 5 2020. The Nitro 5 2020 also features Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX201 and Killer Ethernet 2600 network gears. Pricewise, the Nitro 5 2020 with Intel Core i7-10750H and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti can be obtained for RM 4899 while the variant with Intel Core i5-10300H and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Ti is priced at RM 3799. Unfortunately, Acer didn’t provide any information whether the AMD Ryzen 4000 series variant of the laptop is going to be released in Malaysia or otherwise.
In conjunction with its release, Acer will be providing a set of freebies that include Predator Galea 350 Gaming Headset and Predator Gaming Urband Backpack with each purchase of Nitro 5 2020 through Acer Malaysia eStore and Acer Certified Stores at Lazada from 15 to 19 June. Customers can also redeem additional gift in the form of Predator Cestus 310 Gaming Mouse or Xiaomi Redmi Airdots Earbuds through the existing Riuhkan Raya Bersama Raya promotion.
