The alleged details of the RX 6600 first emerged several days ago via a tweet posted by HXL (@9559pro) and ChipHell. According to the tweet, AMD could quite possibly be working on not one, but two variants of the card: an RX 6600 XT and RX 6600. Both cards will supposedly be powered by a lower-tier RDNA2-powered Navi 23 GPU, have 8GB of GDDR6 graphics memory, and a 128-bit memory bus. For Stream Processors, the 6600XT will have 2048 units, while the 6600 will have 1792 units. As for the die size of the Navi 23 GPU, the rumours hint at it measuring in at 235.76mm2 and should have three TGP levels: 90W, 80W, or 65W. Of course, as this is an RDNA2-based card, both the 6600 and 6600XT will support the PCIe 4.0 interface. At the time of writing, AMD still hasn’t acknowledged the rumours surrounding the Radeon RX 6600, and a launch date is still nowhere in sight.
