Found on the centre of the Amazfit Falcon is a sapphire crystal glass protected 1.28-inch AMOLED touchscreen with 416 x 416 px resolution, 326 ppi pixel density, brightness of up to 1,000 nits, and Always-On capability. You’ll be glad to know that the glass also features anti-fingerprint coating to prevent smudges. Besides that, included together with the device are 22mm liquid silicone wide straps with titanium pin buckle. Internally, the new smartwatch comes with a BioTracker 3.0 PPG biometric sensor for blood-oxygen, heart rate, stress, sleep and 6PD tracking, as well as support for six satellite positioning systems and dual-band GPS (L1 and L5). On the software-side of things, the Falcon runs on the brand’s Zepp OS and includes a variety of features, including the AI-powered Zepp Coach app, PeakBeats, and over 150 indoor and outdoor sports modes with smart recognition. Interestingly, the latter even has tracking for board and card based games such as chess, checkers, go, bridge and so on. Additionally, it also comes with external workout device connectivity, enabling you to link it up with heart rate belts and cycling power metres via Bluetooth. On that note, the Amazfit Falcon supports Bluetooth 5.0 BLE and WLAN 2.4 GHz connectivity, which entails for typical smartwatch functions as well as data synchronisation to compatible third-party apps such as Google Fit, Apple Health, Relive, Strava, and Adidas’ Running app. Amazfit says the wearable’s onboard 500 mAh battery is capable of lasting up to 14 days when used regularly, up to 30 days on Battery Saver Mode, and up to seven days on heavy usage. Included with the Falcon in its packaging is a proprietary 5-pin plug charger which is claimed to deliver a full charge in approximately two hours. The Amazfit Falcon is now available in certain markets at a recommended retail price of US$ 500 (~RM 2,358), which is significantly pricier than the brand’s other rugged smartwatch, the T-Rex 2 (priced at RM 799). Unfortunately, the new wearable has not been confirmed for a Malaysian release at this time. (Source: Amazfit [1] [2])
