As mentioned at the start, the A520 series is designed to support AMD’s current 3rd generation, Zen 2 Ryzen CPU, but is also future-proofed to support any of AMD’s upcoming “Zen 3” CPUs. Unfortunately, the motherboard series doesn’t come with support for PCIe 4.0 and is limited to just PCIe 3.0. On that note, the motherboard series will have access to 26 usable PCIe 3.0 lanes.

Other specifications include support for up to five USB 3.2 Gen2 ports, up to two native USB 3.1 ports, six native USB 2.0 ports, and a maximum of four SATA ports. On another note, it should be pointed out that AMD has said that the A520 motherboard series is not compatible with its Ryzen 5 3400G and Ryzen 3 3200G APUs. At the time of writing, neither AMD nor its AiB partners have announced an availability date for its A520 series motherboards. (Source: AMD, TPU)
