As detailed Chad Robertson, Head of Live Service at Bioware, the rollout of the VIP demo didn’t go as planned. Among the problems encountered early on was at the beginning, where several VIPs were having difficulties logging into the game. It didn’t stop there either; once logged in, the very same players were then met by what has been described as a never-ending wall of loading screens. Bombarding the players one after the other.

While these two issues led to speculation that both Bioware and its publisher, EA, may have underestimated their server capacities, Robertson was quick to point that that wasn’t the case. In his official post, he boils down the severity of the problems to three issues – platform connections, entitlements, and the aforementioned infinite loading screens. While the VIP demo is already over, the developer will be launching a regular demo event this Saturday on 2 February, at 1 AM and will conclude on 4 February at 9 AM. Hopefully, Bioware would’ve addressed some of these issues that had plagued the VIP demo then. (Source: Bioware via Hot Hardware)
