There are three new Magic Keyboard models available. The first features both Touch ID and a numeric keypad, while the second and third models are tenkeyless keyboards – with the former also featuring Touch ID capability. However, it is worth noting that the Touch ID features (mainly the biometric sensor) is only compatible with M1-equipped Apple devices, namely the MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, Mac Mini, and iMac.
Next up is the updated Magic Trackpad, which now comes with rounded corners that matches the aforementioned keyboards – thus offering a more uniformed look across the board. Also featured onboard are the full range of Multi-Touch gestures and Force Touch technology.
Then lastly there’s the updated Magic Mouse. Like its predecessor, it also features a sleek and minimalist design, as well as a Multi-Touch surface that allows you to perform simple gestures.
All new Magic accessories now come with a woven USB-C to Lightning cable for quick pairing and charging. Speaking of the latter, it is noted that all of them feature a long-lasting battery that powers each device for about a month or more between charges. The new Magic accessories are available now via Apple Malaysia’s official website. The Magic Keyboard with Touch ID and numeric keypad is retailing at RM 659, the two tenkeyless models at RM 549 (Touch ID) and RM 379 respectively, while the Magic Trackpad is priced at RM 489, and finally the Magic Mouse at RM 319.
