If you’re a Boost user, you will be able to find the function on the app’s homepage and on the Raya feature page. You’ll be able to pick from six colourful ‘sampul Raya’ designs and include a personalised Raya wish for the recipient. You can choose to send a fixed amount of e-Duit Raya to one recipient or any amount for up to 10 recipients at once. Boost has also added an optional randomiser feature to the experience. The randomiser will simply take a total amount you wish to send to multiple recipients and randomly assign the amount each recipient receives.
Boost is also giving users an option to either keep or donate the e-Duit Raya they receive to the underprivileged. Those who wish to donate can pick from an extensive list of NGOs, charitable organisations, and religious institutions across Malaysia. But be mindful that only Premium Wallet users are able to send e-Duit Raya, while Basic Wallet users can only receive the money. Users can upgrade their e-wallet to Premium for free in two steps: Firstly, they must verify their details by taking a picture of their IC and a quick video selfie. Secondly, they must add a minimum amount of RM10 to their Boost e-wallet at least once. (Source: Boost. Header image: Boost. Text image: Boost.)
