For starters, Chelsea player Callum James Hudson-Odoi is the first EPL player that has been tested positive for COVID-19. Another well-known individual within EPL that has been tested positive is Arsenal’s manager, Mikel Arteta.
Alongside EPL, the English Football League (EFL) which is responsible for EFL Championship, League One, and League Two has also agreed to postpone all matches. In its statement, EFL has also advised all club to suspend non-essential activities to help curb the coronavirus. Not spared from the move is the FA Women’s Super League and FA Women’s Championship as well as all England’s national team fixtures at every single level.
