While it generally looked almost the same as per its predecessor due to its square-ish design, the new Versa 2 comes with an AMOLED display alongside a faster processor. Users can also activate the smartwatch’s always-on display mode which is new to the series although this would cut its battery life from the usual 5+ days to 2+ days. The arrival of Versa 2 also marks the public release of Sleep Score which is a metric that Fitbit used to describe the quality of your sleep. Additionally, there’s also the new Smart Wake feature that utilizes machine learning in order to find the optimal time to wake up based on your sleeping cycle.
Price-wise, the new Versa 2 will retail at RM 998 while the Versa 2 Special Edition which comes with a set of premium jacquard woven band and matching classic band will go for RM 1068. The Special Edition variant of the smartwatch also includes a 3-month trial subscription for the Fitbit Premium service. According to Fitbit, you expect both variants of Versa 2 to be available in Malaysia starting from 15 September onwards.
