For those who are unfamiliar with the name, HERE WeGo was the navigation app for Nokia devices earlier in life. Known as smart2go at the time, it would later be sold to a consortium of German automotive companies. Only after that did it come to using its current name.
HERE WeGo is pretty feature rich too, offering just about everything you’re familiar with when using more well-known navigation apps. In some aspects, it even outdoes the competition. One example is offline navigation, where the app retains the full capabilities as when it has connection to the internet. In a way, both HERE WeGo and Huawei have something to gain from this. For the latter, it now has one well-established navigation app in its AppGallery, which helps its devices with everyday usability. For the former, the lack of more famous names like Google Maps means it has the entire segment of the market to itself. (Source: Huawei AppGallery via Android Centreal. Image: Wikipedia)
