To kick things off, both the HONOR 9X and 9X Pro are fitted with a new 6.59-inch Full HD+, notchless All-View display. Like the OnePlus 7 Pro and Xiaomi Mi 9T, the 16MP selfie camera for the phones now uses a motorised pop-up module. Specs-wise, both the HONOR 9X and 9X Pro are powered by the 7nm Kirin 810 SoC. Further, the HONOR 9X will sport a dual-camera setup comprising a 48MP main sensor and 2MP sensor. The HONOR 9X Pro shares the same sensors, but it also has an additional 8MP wide-angle camera, making its module a triple-camera array.
The back of the HONOR 9X and 9X Pro is also a thing of beauty sporting a 3D gradient glass design, which refracts and shows off an “X-shaped” pattern when viewed at an angle. The memory and storage configurations are also different, depending on the models. The HONOR 9X seems to have three variant: 4GB/64GB, 6GB/64GB, and 6GB/128GB. While the HONOR 9X Pro only comes with 8GB RAM, and an internal storage choice of either 128GB or 256GB. Software-wise, both phones have access to HONOR’s GPU Turbo 3.0, and will run on the latest Android 9.0 Pie with EMUI 9.1.1.
Oh, and the battery size in them are also identical at 4000mAh, and considering the stamina of the HONOR 8X, it’s likely that these two phones will be just as impressive.
The only thing missing from the list is the official pricing for both the HONOR 9X and 9X Pro. However, both devices will be making its rounds in China first, followed by a global launch at a later date.
