One of them is a rather lengthy message on its HONOR Malaysia’s Facebook page that came from its Country Director, Lijing who revealed that the new phone series which is called the X Series will come in three models. He also noted that all three phones have gone through rigorous tests including 1-meter drop, bending resistance and high temperature although he stopped short of revealing their actual name. [Image: HONOR Malaysia.]That being said, HONOR Malaysia has also posted videos on its Facebook page that feature X9 and X8. Furthermore, if you search for the phones name on Google, you then may likely receive the ads below which listed X9 5G, X8, and X7, as part of the search results: Not only that, a recent post on the News section of the HONOR Club has also highlighted this poster that was featured at a recent HONOR event in the Middle East: [Image: HONOR Club.]In general, the X9 is the international variant of the X30 which HONOR launched in China at the end of 2021. Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 alongside up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB internal storage, the phone carries a 6.81-inch Full HD+ IPS display that has 120Hz refresh rate. Housed within a round-shaped camera module which looks identical to the company’s new Magic4 flagship Series, is a 48MP f/1.8 main camera alongside 2MP macro camera and 2MP depth sensor. The phone also carries a 16MP f/2.45 front camera and 4800mAh battery together with the support for 66W fast charger. HONOR X30, as the phone is known in China. [Image: HONOR China.]On the other hand, the X8 which has actually been launched in UAE carries the same physical design as per X30i that was launched in China last October. In fact, the model still features a 6.7-inch Full HD+ 90Hz IPS display, 4000mAh battery, and 22.5W fast charger support. However, the X8 is running on Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 instead of MediaTek Dimensity 810 which also means that the international model does not support 5G network unlike its Chinese counterpart. Additionally, the export-bound X8 also has higher-resolution 64MP main camera, 5MP ultra-wide camera, and 16MP selfie camera although it still has the same macro camera and depth sensor. Over there, the phone is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 700 alongside up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage. It is also equipped with a 6.74-inch HD+ TFT display, 5MP f/2.2 selfie camera, 13MP f/1.8 main camera, and 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor. As per many budget phones out there, this particular model also features a massive 5000mAh battery although it does support 22.5W fast charger which should help cut down the phone’s charging time. HONOR Play 30 Plus’ camera module looked similar to HONOR 50. [Image: HONOR China]Since the X9 and X8 are powered by Snapdragon, we will not be surprised if HONOR switches X7’s processor to Qualcomm’s for the release in Malaysia as well. Of course, we have to wait for the official information from HONOR, so stay tuned for more on 29 March.
