Despite being from an official source, the tweet and its claim seemed questionable at best. Aside from supposedly confirming the P40 to have graphene battery technology, Huawei France also included a fan-made concept render of the phone in its teaser which raised further suspicion from the tech media. Well-known smartphone industry leaker IceUniverse even shot down Huawei France’s tweet, commented that the technology is “currently impossible.” Phone Arena suspects that Huawei France’s Twitter handlers most likely based the deleted tweet on wrong information that was circulating around in Twitter a while back.
Perhaps they’re not supposed to reveal a crucial detail that’s not meant to be released to the public just yet, or maybe the tweet was just bogus to begin with? Well, your guess is as good as ours. On the other hand, Samsung was reported to be working on graphene related battery technology which would one day replace the widely used Lithium Ion batteries found in current smart devices that we use today.
