Aside from the differences of their main connectivity apparatus, the Wi-Fi variant of MatePad is identical to its 4G twin. Still powered by Kirin 810 7nm processor, the tablet also features a 10.4-inch IPS display with a native resolution of 2000 x 1200 and supports Huawei M-pencil.
Similarly, MatePad WiFi is also equipped with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage alongside 7250mAh battery, 8MP rear camera, and 8MP selfie camera. So, we are quite baffled that the tablet is priced at RM 1399 just like the MatePad 4G although early adopters of MatePad WiFi will receive a freebie set worth RM 500 which is inclusive of a keyboard cover. Meanwhile, Huawei is also launching another tablet called MatePad T10 in Malaysia at the same time. Equipped with the company’s own Kirin 710A processor, this particular model also carries a 9.7-inch IPS display with a native resolution of 1280 x 800 alongside 2GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage.
The 450g tablet also features 5MP rear camera, 2MP selfie camera, and 5100mAh battery. Unlike the main MatePad and MatePad Pro series, MatePad T devices do not support Huawei M-pencil though and this particular MatePad T10 variant can only be used with Wi-Fi network. Pricewise, the MatePad T10 will be made available for RM 799 but during launch day on 9 September, the tablet can be obtained at a much lower price for RM 499.
