The company touts the Slim 7 Carbon to be the most lightest laptop in the market, coming in at just over a kilogram in weight and 14.9mm in thickness. It packs a 14-inch OLED QHD+ display with a resolution of 2880 x 1800, refresh rate of 90Hz, and an optional touchscreen configuration. Despite its light and compact form factor, Lenovo says that the laptop is built to survive military-grade durability tests. Under the hood, customers can customise the Carbon to feature up to an AMD Ryzen 7 5800U processor with integrated Radeon Graphics, up to NVIDIA GeForce MX450 discrete graphics, and maximum memory configurations of 16GB Dual Channel LPDDR5x and 1TB SSD PCIe M.2. Other than that, the new laptop also comes with Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity, Dolby Atmos enhanced speakers, as well as a series of ports which consists of two USB 3.2 Type-As, one USB-C, a HDMI port, an SD Card slot, and an 3.5mm audio jack. Unmistakably, the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Pro is the beefier and larger of the two, coming in at 2.1kg in weight and 17.4mm in thickness. Much like the Carbon, its 16-inch display is a QHD+ OLED panel but with a higher resolution of 2.5K and touch capability installed by default. In addition, a 120Hz configuration is available if you fancy higher refresh rates. As for hardware, you can customise the Pro to come with up to an AMD Ryzen 7 5800H processor with integrated Radeon Graphics, up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 discrete graphics, and maximum memory configurations of up to 16GB Dual Channel DDR4 RAM and 1TB SSD PCIe M.2. Besides that, the laptop matches its smaller Carbon sibling for audio, supported connectivity, and onboard ports. In terms of battery life, Lenovo claims that the Yoga Slim 7 Carbon is capable of lasting up to 14.5 hours on a full charge, while the Slim 7 Pro can go up to 12.5 hours. Both laptops also come with the company’s Rapid Charge Boost technology, which enables for significant battery top-ups in a short period of time. Both the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Carbon and the Slim 7 Pro laptops are slated to be available sometime next month. The Carbon will retail at a starting price of US$1,290 (~RM5,340), while the Pro starts from US$1,449 (~RM6,020). There’s no word on their expected local availability at this current time.
