It will come in the form of a 48-inch LG C1 4K OLED Smart TV that the company has launched as part of its 2021’s OLED TV lineup. While LG had actually included the 48-inch option for last year’s CX series, it was not released in Malaysia.
As shown above, the 48-inch LG C1 has actually made its first public appearance in Malaysia at the recent Home Design & Interior Exhibition (HOMEDEC) late last month through a collaboration with HLK Chain Store. Based on the marketing language at the booth (shown above) as well as on LG Malaysia’s Facebook page, it is rather clear that LG is aiming for the new OLED TV to appeal to gamers and content creators. This is done by highlighting the TV’s compact size alongside its HDMI 2.1 support that allows access to features such as 120fps at 4K resolution, Variable Refresh Rate, and Auto Low Latency Mode. Furthermore, the 48-inch LG C1 is also a certified NVIDIA G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium model.
Despite that though, LG is still keeping the actual pricing and release date as a secret for the time being. However, the company has since listed the TV on its Malaysia website and we have also noticed two sellers on Shopee that have already put up the TV for pre-order. Both sellers have listed the new TV with a price tag of RM 6,499 and one of them, Kronoshop has also noted that the 48-inch LG C1 is expected to arrive here within 24 to 26 May. But as noted earlier, LG has nothing official to share at the moment. So, we will keep you posted once the company is ready to offer the new OLED TV to the hands of Malaysian consumers.
