As the “LIGHTSPEED” in its title suggests, the Logitech G913 is a wireless gaming keyboard that is fitted with the brand’s LIGHTSPEED wireless technology. Performance-wise, this provides the keyboard with a lightning-fast 1ms report rate with each and every actuation of the keys. In terms of battery life, Logitech says that the G913 can sustain itself for up to 135 days of non-stop gaming, provided that its LIGHTSYNC RGB lighting is switched off. With the lighting on at 100% brightness, the time is dramatically cut short to just 30 hours.
Moving on, the Logitech G813 LIGHTSYNC RGB is essentially identical to the G913. The one major difference between the two being the thick, corded wire attached to the spine of the G813. Seriously, besides that obvious difference, both the G913 and G813 are mirror images of each other. Both keyboards sport the same ultra-thin aluminium chassis and the same 22mm height. Even the key layout – with the exception of the Bluetooth and LIGHTSPEED buttons at the top of the G913 – are absolutely identical. Right now to the five additional macro keys on the left and the built-in scroller at situated at the top right corner of the keyboards.
On a side note, if you’ve happened to come across the Logitech G915 and G815 keyboards, rest assured that those keyboards are basically the G913 and G813. Logitech explains that for the Malaysian market, the keyboards’ last numbers were changed from “5” to “3”, and nothing more. Both the Logitech G913 LIGHTSPEED and G813 LIGHTSYNC RGB are expected to arrive on the shelves of authorised resellers by the end of August. Additionally, both keyboards will be available in three key switch options: GL Tactile (Brown), GL Linear (Red), and GL Clicky (White). Pricing is set at RM799 for the G813 and RM999 for the G913. Logitech also says that those prices will not change, regardless of the key switch you choose.
