The support for the DualSense exclusive features were added as part of the game’s most recent patch. Despite the feature being mentioned generally in the patch notes, this looks to be exclusive to the Steam version of Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition. This suggests that features like haptics and adaptive triggers only work with Steam’s API and said update. It also currently only works with a wired connection.
— donny (@mrdomino_) May 21, 2021 While it’s not possible to show haptic feedback in action, there are a number of videos online showing the adaptive triggers in action. One was shared on ResetEra which shows two different scenarios of the feature. One is is the kickback of the triggers with a full-auto weapon, the other being the trigger snap of a semi-auto weapon. It’s probably worth mentioning that Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition is basically the same game as the base version. It even comes bundled with the base game on all PC platforms. The only difference is that it needs a graphics card with ray-tracing capability to run. Now, ray-tracing is not the only extra that you get with the enhanced edition, at least on Steam.
