Much of the special edition’s design and its hardware specifications are still kept under wraps until its official early November launch in China. However, one of the teaser images revealed a major detail (apart from the neon yellow accents and outlines) that sets the Cyberpunk Edition apart from the regular OnePlus 8T models: its rear camera island. As seen from the photo above, the special edition of the phone features a longer camera island, covering most of the upper part of its rear case. On the left side of the island is believed to be the same quad camera setup as the original, while on the right is occupied by what appears to be a design element or branding from Cyberpunk 2077.
Specs-wise, it is believed that the special edition’s hardware to be somewhat similar to the original. To quickly recap; the OnePlus 8T is equipped with a 6.55-inch OLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate, Snapdragon 865 chipset, up to 12GB RAM, up to 256GB of internal storage, Android 11 version of the company’s Oxygen OS, and a battery capacity of 4,500mAh with 65W fast charging support. The full unveiling of the OnePlus 8T Cyberpunk 2077 Edition is slated for 2 November 2020. Its pricing as well as availability is also expected to be announced by then. For reference, the 12GB+256GB configuration of the original phone retails at RM2,999 in Malaysia. (Source: OnePlus [Weibo] via GSMArena)
