According to HiCookie’s HWBot submission, the overclocker managed to achieve a score of 6.36GHz on the 5950X, with a voltage overclock of 1.692V to boot. Naturally, HiCookie managed to pull off this feat via the use of liquid nitrogen, or LN2 for short. Additionally, he also did it using 16GB DDR4 RAM from Corsair and an X570 AORUS Master motherboard from Gigabyte, a milestone the component maker was more than happy to announce via its official Twitter account. At those speeds, the highly overclocked 5950X reportedly attained a score of 15517 points on Cinebench R20’s multi-treaded test; approximately 5000 points more than the average 10100 points that the CPU is capable of achieving, directly out of the box.

On a relative note, we previously reviewed AMD’s Ryzen 9 5900X and found that the CPU is just as beastly when put to the task. On another note, our review and testing the 5950X is currently underway, so keep an eye out for it. (Source: HiCookie via HWBot, Techspot)
