According to the brand’s product page, the Red Devil 6800XT will feature a 14+2 power stage VRM design, and will be powered by dual 8-pin PCIe connectors. In terms of design, the card is equipped with a backplate that covers the entire card, as well as a full-fat, 3-slot heatsink that extends beyond the length of the card’s PCB. Additionally, the heatsink is also flanked by a total of seven heat pipes. Ports-wise, we’re looking at two DisplayPorts, one HDMI port, and a USB-C port. The latter reportedly being an exclusive feature to all Red Devil series cards. As for the RGB colour, it appears that the lighting’s default colour is set to Red, and from one angle, we have to say that it does actually look quite as menacing as PowerColor intended.
Strangely, PowerColor doesn’t mention any specifications of the Red Devil 6800XT, so it’s unclear at this stage whether the card has been tweaked to run faster or slightly slower than the reference 6800XT. That said, at least we know that it’s still packed with 16GB GDDR6 graphics memory, and supports PCIe 4.0. As for availability, PowerColor says that the Red Devil 6800XT should go on sale from 25 November onwards, although no official pricing has been stated at the time of writing.
