Normally limited to the company’s train services, those with a 1-Day or 3-Day MyCity pass will now be able to use it on buses as a value-added service throughout the promotion period. The campaign is valid for passes used between 15 January to 14 April — while it does include all Rapid KL and MRT feeder buses, you won’t be able to use the pass specifically for Putrajaya’s Nadiputra service, which just came under Rapid Bus’ management this year. Additionally, Rapid KL is running a buy one free one promotion for the MyCity pass, but it is only applicable for the 3-Day pass. If you purchase the pass between 15 January to 28 February, you will be able to redeem a free pass between 4 to 31 March, but it comes with a lot of hassle. First off, when you purchase the pass during the eligible period, you will need to find a “Thank You” campaign poster with a QR code for you to scan, available at Rapid KL stations. From there, you will need to fill out a form and only the first 2,023 individuals will receive a letter voucher for a free MyCity pass in March. If you manage to get all this done, you must then go to their Customer Service Office in KL Sentral during the redemption period along with a printed copy of the letter voucher, the original receipt of the initial MyCity pass you bought, and a MyKad or MyTentera as only Malaysians are eligible for the pass. Redeeming the free 3-Day pass will also put you in the running for a lucky draw. That being said, it’s unclear at the time of writing what the prizes for the lucky draw are. (Source: Rapid KL)
