The smartphone is listed as M2003J6A1G, which tech insider Xiaomishka believes to be the Redmi Note 9 Pro. The leaker also reported spotting the same model in FCC’s database on 9 March. However, he adds that the listing detailed the phone’s battery to feature a 4920mAh capacity, whereas the official launch reveals that it features a 5020mAh battery instead.

Discrepancy aside, it’s uncertain if Redmi plans to release the same configuration in the Malaysian market or introduce a different one altogether. As for the alleged Note 9 Pro’s listing on SIRIM, not much of its specifications are detailed – save for the various LTE bands that it supports, among other things. https://twitter.com/xiaomishka/status/1236976491927416832?s=20 Just in case you missed it; the Redmi Note 9 Pro features a 6.67-inch FHD+ IPS display, a Snapdragon 720G SoC with up to 6GB RAM, a choice of either 64GB or 128GB storage, and a 5020mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. Photography-wise, the smartphone features a 48MP main shooter, 8MP ultra-wide, 5MP macro, and 2MP depth sensor. Based on its launch in India, pricing of the Note 9 Pro starts from INR12,999 (~RM745).

Although unconfirmed, there’s a good chance that this recently certified Xiaomi device could be the new Note 9 Pro. Regardless, it’s also likely that we’ll be expecting an official announcement from Xiaomi Malaysia sometime soon. (Source: SIRIM / Xiaomishka)
