It sports a 194×368 1.47-inch AMOLED display which is protected by a layer of 2.5D tempered glass and has a maximum brightness level of 450 nits. As for the body, it uses a type of plastic called polycaprolactam and is reinforced with glass fibre while the strap is made out of TPU. The Redmi Smart Band Pro also comes with more than 50 different watch faces and is water-resistant up to 50 metres.

The device is equipped with an array of sensors, including an accelerometer, gyroscope, an optical sensor for heart rate and blood oxygen monitoring, and a light sensor for automatic display brightness. As with a lot of smart bands, it has a sleep tracking feature as well as menstrual cycle tracking. Unfortunately, it doesn’t have a built-in GPS so you’d need to bring along your phone to log your running paths. Speaking of running, the Redmi Smart Band Pro has 110 different workout modes to choose from, and is able to automatically detect when you’re on the treadmill, running outdoors, and walking outdoors. Aside from the Xiaomi Wear App, you can also choose to sync your data with Strava and Apple Health.

The band is powered by a 200mAh battery and charged using the included magnetic charging cable. Xiaomi claims that the Smart Band Pro can last 14 days with typical use and up to 20 days with the power-saving mode. When connected to your phone via Bluetooth 5.0, the band can control music playback, find your phone, and of course, display notifications. Xiaomi has not revealed pricing and availability details yet, but since this is a Pro variant, we do expect it to cost more than the Mi Smart Band 6 which is currently going for RM189 in Malaysia.
