ORIGINAL STORY (17/03 8:48 AM): Just a few weeks after it was certified by SIRIM, Samsung has unveiled the pricing of its Galaxy Z Flip foldable phone in Malaysia. Customers are also able to pre-order the device from the company today until 22 March and get their new Galaxy Z Flip delivered to them in 5 working days although we not sure if the newly Restrictive Movement Order would affect the deliver date. According to Samsung Malaysia’s official website, the Galaxy Z Flip can be obtained in Malaysia for RM 5,888. As a comparison, the phone price was announced with a US price tag of USD 1,380 (~RM 5,955). Like the global specifications, the foldable phone which is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ comes standard in Malaysia with 8GB of RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1-based internal storage. There’s no support for microSD card or 5G connectivity though.
The Galaxy Z Flip can be pre-ordered directly at Samsung Malaysia’s website by inputting “ZFLIPVIP” at the point of purchase. Pre-order customers will receive the Samsung Galaxy Z Premier Service privilege which provides them access to 24/7 Premium Careline, Priority or Express Lane at Samsung Service Centres and 12-month of On-Site Pick-Up and Delivery for services. Additionally, customers are also eligible for 1-time inner screen replacement within 12-month after they purchase their Galaxy Z Flip.
