The Korean tech company stated in a news release saying that workers who came in contact with the infected individual have been placed in self-quarantine. Samsung is also taking additional steps to have them tested for possible infection. The factory in Gumi is known to manufacture both of Samsung’s foldable phones, the Galaxy Fold and the Galaxy Z Flip. The temporary closure of the plant might cause shortages for both models, but would not have any major impact on the company’s overall smartphone production. Samsung has ordered for production in Gumi to resume on 24 February, while access to the floor where the infected employee was based will only be allowed on 25 February.
