Specifically, the 3rd generation of Sony’s current mid-range Xperia series is expected to be announced this month. More specifically, that announcement is reportedly taking place on 14 April, which is just a couple of days from now. As for price, it is being said that the phone should cost around the same as the current Xperia 10 II at launch, which is currently sitting at RM1799. As for the hardware of the Xperia 10 III, additional rumours suggest that the upcoming Sony midrange phone will run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 765G SoC and 6GB RAM, which is a bump up from the current Snapdragon 665 SoC and 4GB RAM. More importantly, the bump up in the chipset also means that the Xperia 10 III will be the brand’s first 5G smartphone in its product range. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aw3FnkIFia8&ab_channel=SonyXperia Beyond the change in the chipset and extra RAM, there doesn’t seem to be any further changes to the Xperia 10 III, meaning that the phone is likely to retain that same 6.0-inch OLED Full HD display, the same expandable storage capacity, and the same triple main camera array as the Xperia 10 II. Of course, these are still merely rumours, so take this bit of news with a liberal sprinkling of salt. At least, until its rumoured 14 April announcement. (Source: Pocket-lint // Image: Voice)
