This plot twist has gotten a lot of fans wondering just how long has Nick Fury hasn’t been Nick Fury? Was the Nick Fury we see at Tony Stark’s funeral in Endgame real? Heck, since Captain Marvel takes place in the 90s, it’s entirely possible that Talos disguised himself as Nick Fury all throughout the MCU. But the director of Far From Home, Jon Watts, has rubbished those speculations. In an interview with ComicBook.com, Watts said:
Watts added that the biggest clue is the fact that we see Nick Fury get duped so easily by Mysterio. Spider-Man: Far From Home is currently playing in Malaysian cinemas.
