According to CIMB’s official statement, the two members of staff had contracted the disease during a personal trip to Indonesia and are currently being treated at a nearby government hospital. As a precautionary measure, CIMB has also ordered the affected branch to undergo a thorough sanitisation and deep cleaning. On that note, the Seremban branch will be closed for the duration it takes to sterilise and disinfect the building. In the meantime, CIMB is also trying to identify any and all other people who had come in contact with the affected staff.
Given the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak, we do advise readers to stay safe whenever you step out to public areas and practice social distancing for the remainder of the Restricted Movement Order’s (RMO) duration. Also, unless absolutely necessary, you can always conduct your banking needs online via CIMB’s online services. (Image: The Star)
