What sets this version apart from the original 5G model is the inclusion of Dual-Mode 5G support for both SA and NSA networks. Its storage capacity is also upsized, coming in at 256GB. Other than that, the rest of the Exclusive Edition’s specifications and features are unchanged from the original Vivo V21 5G that was last month. As a quick recap, both versions of the V21 5G features a 6.44-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate and under-display fingerprint sensor. Unique to the series are dual front-facing spotlights housed on the upper bezel of their screens, which can be used to add extra lighting for vlogging or snapping selfies.
Under the hood is a MediaTek Dimensity 800U chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM which can be boosted up to 11GB via the onboard Extended RAM function. For those unfamiliar, this feature is able to allocate a specific amount of internal storage space and convert it into RAM if the user requires it. Powering the Exclusive Edition and the standard model is a 4,000mAh battery with 33W flash charge via USB-C. Other than that, they also come with dual Hi-Res certified stereo speakers, and Android 11 via Vivo’s own Funtouch OS 11 interface out of the box. Photography-wise, all variants of the V21 series feature the same triple camera setup on their back. This comprises an Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) equipped 64MP main shooter, an 8MP ultra-wide, and a 2MP macro sensor. Housed within the display’s waterdrop notch is a 44MP front-facing camera with OIS capability.
The new Vivo V21 5G Exclusive Edition is available in Malaysia starting today at RM1,899, and is offered in two colour options: Dusk Blue and Sunset Dazzle.
